Brittany Webb, MEd · Brittany is a Director of epic. She is an educator at Woodbury Elementary School. She is the founder of the Rising Stars Enrichment Program designed specifically to increase the minority population in advanced mathematics courses within the Shaker Heights City School district by strengthening the mathematical foundation of minority students throughout the school year (a local news segment on Rising Stars can be viewed here). Brittany is also involved with the Woodbury Positive Behavior Support which is a school wide positive behavior support framework designed to encourage, support and maintain positive academic environments.
Dionissi Aliprantis, PhD · Dionissi is the founder of epic and a Director of the program. He works as a Senior Research Economist at the Cleveland Fed, where he uses mathematical models and statistics to evaluate social programs. While in college Dionissi worked in developing countries with Timmy Global Health and co-founded the first of Timmy's 40 college chapters. In recent years he has evaluated community-driven programs in rural Haiti and taught middle and high school students at The Math Corps.
Jenny R. Hawkins, PhD · Jenny is a Director of epic. She works as an Assistant Professor of Economics at Case Western Reserve University where she researches issues concerning law and antitrust. As the Director of the Economics Undergraduate Program, her focus is on teaching, advising, and mentoring undergraduate students. She has won multiple university-wide teaching awards while at Case Western. In the classroom she puts emphasis on helping students apply mathematics to explain human behavior and decision making.
